Too many strip searches of children by police have been "unnecessary, unsafe and under-reported", according to a damning report by the Children's Commissioner.
There are times where it might be appropriate for the saftey of others or the child… but, the more I hear about how these are being conducted the more it sounds like that (some) people conducting them are enjoying it too much.
Quite possibly. Procedure is procedure but problems come when someone abuses their power. However, strip searching does seem like a thing of the past - usually replaced/used in conjunction with that 3d scanning machine.
