Good. If there’s one thing that scares me shitless, it’s being unable to escape unbearable suffering.

Seriously. I’m only in my mid-thirties but I’d sign a document tomorrow if it secured my right to end myself if I’m unable to do basic things like eat, use a toilet and live without restriction.

Ok maybe not tomorrow. But I’d want to do it quick before the inevitable senility kicks in!

I get that most objections will be on religious grounds but with appropriate checks I believe this is a good thing to have in place.

I didnt see much about religion from a cursory glance at BBCs interviews after the vote, mostly objections to it lacking what those consider enough safeguards.

it will be used the same way it is in canada, to remove “undesirables”
this can also be seen by the severe cutting of disability benefits
they want to get rid of disabled people and this gives them a convenient way to do it

For fucks sake, it’s not something you can force on other people.

This is a quick way out for people with less than six months left to live to avoid prolonged suffering.

the canadian version of this has had many stories of poor and disabled people being coerced into it, it’s why a large portion of disability rights campaigners have opposed it
