The government refused the amendment. It says it is already carrying out a separate consultation around copyright and it wants to wait for the outcome of that.

If the bill has already passed they’ve not waited for anything. Be interesting to see how artists - smaller artists - respond. One possible outcome might be them removing all electronic music from bandcamp, streaming etc and just selling vinyl etc.
