I was a big hollow knight fan and recently replayed it. I found silksong to be the perfect difficulty.

Although, now I think of it, I wish there were more pogo sections where you can’t touch the ground.

I’d also love an update that lets you play the game as the knight from the first game.

I think his move set could traverse the maps with maybe one exception, but they could pretty easily adjust those rooms for him.

It’s not over. Hollow knight had DLCs. Team Cherry says their plans are ambitious. For now the cradle in act 3 is the most platforming we get but I’m psyched

I was a big hollow knight hater and I recently replayed it. I also found silksong to be the perfect difficulty.

Jokes aside, I enjoyed HK, just thought the backtracking got tedious and the endgame bosses were over the top, so I called it quits after main game 100% (and the final boss being hell). I only got Silksong to see how hard the game is before the nerfs come, and yet I loved it, I also found it perfect with a consistent 5-10 tries for most bosses from the early ones to endgame, and the true final boss only pushing it into 15-20 I think.

I went to HK in the middle of it to see if I’d change my mind, and most of it is still boring, but bosses melt like butter, including the DLC ones so far. I don’t know why, I thought I started getting worse at games in recent years. Maybe going from stick to d-pad? Or Silksong prepped me for being more observant of boss tells?

Small spoiler but there is a crest that makes the attacks like hollow knight attacks (though with less range it seems). It makes some pogo sections harder but as you get more movement abilities that becomes less of an issue.

Yeah, I have that and basically used it as my default.

I’ve finished the game already and am now going back through each section to see what I can unlock still.

I used that for a while as well but eventually swapped to the reaper because I felt I got a more comfortable experience with the reaper. The moveset is slower but you get more range and the downward slash is similar to the wanderer. You also get better slots than the wanderer and your silk binding gets an added benefit getting extra silk when attacking. In theory wanderer is probably stronger in raw DPS but I with all the whiffing I did and not getting too greedy with my attacks I probably end up having the same DPS with the reaper.
