What is it about carparks that attracts the scummiest scammer businesses?? Their whole business model appears to be finding new scams to rip off their customers with eye-watering fees and charges.

The people running these operations need to be made to do community service if not thrown in jail, because losing court cases doesn’t seem to be stopping them.

Hey now, plenty of other industries are full of scummy people too - printer ink, crypto, paparazzi, landlords, funeral directors, the list goes on!

I, too, get frustrated by slow-ass people, but a £100 fine if you take more than 5 minutes is egregious. Especially if the technology to facilitate payment is acting as a hindrance.

This is related to phone app payments, not parking machine. No impact on the other customers.

Most car parks push to app and don’t accept cash. Some don’t even take card. It’s a core payment method for them because they don’t want to pay staff to empty them.

I wasn’t talking about other customers? The fine and time limit were not proportional, especially when the payment system is inherently unreliable.

Who were you talking about when you said “I, too, get frustrated by slow-ass people”?
