I avoid keyboards with the rotary knobs since I always use an amp and audio interface, but I get the vibe. All the knobs and dials make me feel like one of those sound mixer guys.

The list is honestly bizarre and the rank placements are all over the place. Most of your later examples of that I completely agree with. I just think that the mainline FF games not being on the top 100 list of PC games is fairly understandable, and I say that as a huge fan of the series. Ironically, FF14 is quite literally the only game in the series that I haven’t played.
Regarding the FF games, I think it’s actually fine considering some of the more notable omissions. Most FF games didn’t get released anywhere near when they were relevant.
This is the RSS reader I use and like it a lot, but no it does not have an export feature like that.
I just replaced my 3070 with a RX 7900XT and it was a very noticeable difference in performance. It doesn’t help that my primary display is 3840x1600 though. The 3070 was never particularly great for that res.
I just did this with an RX7900TX and everything worked fine and I decided to install my normal updates. And then my PC wouldn’t boot. After hours of “fun”, it turns out that the issue had nothing to do with the GPU swap and all. Tons of fun!
I haven’t in at least a year or two.
Weirdly, I feel like Topre are almost designed to encourage and cushion a bottom out. The membrane dome collapses really high in the press and then you get bounced back up by the conic springs underneath. It doesn’t do it for me, but some people love it.
It’s firmly “OK”, though I was never a big Topre fan. It was amazing for the price and it is better when you remove the o-rings that are meant to dampen the sound. Once the dampers are out it and you replace the caps (uses standard MX caps), the 55G version feels like a slightly better version of the old Cooler Master Novatouch 45g. It is also backlit with RGB, which wasn’t a thing for Topre boards at that point. I’m actually curious if the RGB Topre membranes feels just like the ones used by the RK.
It depends on which Royal Kludge keyboard you have. They make some that are typical mechanical boards (usually a cheaper Cherry MX based switch) and some that are EC Topre clones. If its the former, then you would probably need to take it apart and desolder the switches since I don’t believe they made any that were hotswappable. If its the latter type, then you can pretty easily fully disassemble it and see if maybe something is up with the stems or conic springs under the membrane. Note: for the EC type, be careful when taking it apart and there is a good chance those springs will explode out like confetti and ruin your day. I learned this the hard way.
Minor correction: You can’t say no because they intentionally almost never give you “no” as an option. It generally is “Ask again later” instead, when you clearly never want them to ask again, just like you didn’t want to be asked the first time.
I am almost certain that steam keys are actually free to developers, which is the whole reason for the policy.
From what I understand, the newest version of Element X paired with Matrix 2.0 will now support voice/video without using jitsi.
Very low bandwidth or resource usage would be some advantages, less so since they made in this java heh.
Check out Quod Libet, it is my current favorite.
The layout is 100% the reason I didn’t like my F AT until I modded it. My F XT has a better layout, but it was always such a chore trying to get my home made Soarer’s converter to work right. The F77 layout is great, and thanks to the preproductions it’s actually attainable. I also got one of the new TKL layout Model Fs, but it only came in the “compact” case style (which makes sense as they was no original), and it just isn’t as nice to use as the OG style zinc case.
I’d get one of the beamsprings as well, but they are just so ridiculously thick and bulky that I don’t think it would work for me.
No, I have two of the reproductions and they are great IMO. I heavily prefer them over any of my Model Ms or OG Model Fs.
Both Unicomp and modelfkeyboards.com are highly recommended.
Someone else in the comments mentioned it is about 40% faster than the AVX-2 code and slightly more than twice as fast as the SSE3 code. That’s still a nice boost, but hopefully no one was relying on the radically slow unoptimized baseline.
