They said that?
They said that?
If I were an exec at Google, I’d have already made a move to buy out a small country. Tuvalu, Nauru or something with a minuscule GDP. Then proclaim the Google Republic, move HQ functions over, and be free of taxes and outside influences forever.
And being their own country, they could even have a full fledged military…
I think the lite versions don’t allow scripted blocking, only static or something. So a whole lot of the adaptive blocks for persistent ads you encounter on facebook, instagram and other shitty socials that behave like viruses will be hard to impossible to kill.
I’m glad I never had to deal with that as I have never used Chrome on desktop, but I’m pretty sure there will be many folks out there who don’t know how to switch.
GDPR protects user data, not virtual data associated with an avatar you control. We might get there someday, but as of now, you’d only be able to request copies of stuff directly associated with yourself.
Not amazingly fast, but still quite a bit better indeed. Give it a try, to don’t need to uninstall outlook to do that after all.
The new outlook is utter garbage. It was in fact so bad that I uninstalled it and now use it through the web front-end only. And I’m doing that in Edge - as the only website this browser is allowed to open (asides from Teams, where the software is just as terrible).
If they call it a success that no more people are complaining because they just gave up, then, congrats… I guess?
General, Academic is when you pursue higher education. I believe even only from Master’s level onward, for a Bachelor’s the general is sufficient. And if you do get a British Bachelor’s, you don’t need to provide anything else for a Master’s. So that’s really only for foreign graduates who are pursuing an advanced degree course in the UK.
You absolutely can mix and match RAM sticks, as long as their specs are the same. It’s not necessarily recommended as there might be compatibility issues, but usually ends up working just fine.
They can, do, and will keep doing so. Damaging projects and efforts in the process.
I can’t wait to see the site formerly known as Twitter to go out of business.
The thing is that gen.xyz is the registrar itself, i.e. the highest authority for this tld. If they blacklist domains, you’re screwed.
They are indeed the registrar. Would have expected more.
I see, thanks a lot! I don’t have any devices that read physical discs, so it’s been streaming and alternatively sourced content exclusively. I don’t actually mind paying for media, but living in China significantly limits my access to unaltered, genuine discs that come with English audio tracks, unfortunately.
I’ll see if I can get my hands on a full sized LOTR copy for testing purposes then. Thanks a lot for the lengthy response, much appreciated!
Maybe my TV is due for an upgrade then. Or the source movies I tried were 4k in name only but just some upscaled older ones… I’ll do some more testing with more recent ones.
I just did during my annual checkup 2 weeks ago shortly after turning 40, still got 20/20 vision. No idea then…
I’d say about 2.5 meters, maybe 3.
Mine is 65" and I really can’t, unless I switch between files rapidly. 720p to 1080p, definitely. But larger, hardly.
I have a 4k TV and don’t get it either. Watched the odd video in 4k and the colors are maybe a bit crisper, but that’s about it. I’d have to compare movies side by side to actually spot the difference.
Not worth it IMHO.
Can’t tell for screens though, I don’t even know whether mine does 4k or not. Was part of the home-office package from my company. I’ll have to check that tomorrow, only returning from a business trip tonight.
My server is called Mars, and the two clients I have are Phobos and Deimos (the moons of Mars). I though that’s a good fit.
Yeah Douyin is pushing educational content and is very fast to censor harmful stuff. Still full of garbage and racism though, just the sanctioned kind against people the government doesn’t like.
