i have a regular desktop computer and a very smooth user experience here, no complaints.
laptops can be hit or miss because of all the custom proprietary crud in them.

mozilla is not profitable because of how much they pay their CEO.
its the same situation as reddit.
they will eventually make it so restrictive it will be impossible for people to actually play, before they consider a serverside solution.
i think screens look blurry in the wrong resolution. i always rather use it in the native resolution. that effect will probably be more noticeable in a low ppi screen like the deck’s.
alright, chill
wait a hot second, do protonmail not support IMAP??
this might unironically run linux depending on the specs
yeah i aint putting my ass on the line for that country, thats for sure.
heres one i found with a quick google.
this one is about southeast/northeast brazil, but the finnish are involved in aggressive extractivism in northwest brazil (amazon rainforest) too, and i think its even worse over there. you will dig up pretty horrible things if you do some research on it. about most of the western 1st world countries tbh.
brazil, and they do some shady stuff in the amazon. mainly fuck you extrativism.
finland has pretty bad climate-change-exploitation-fucking-over-the-third-world dealings in my country, despite enforcing seemingly very good stuff inside their own borders so meh, id argue they aint close to the victims they make out to be. some would argue that as a consequence for having a strong socialist influence.
i have mixed feelings about them as a country, but i recognize there are plenty of good (and even well known good) people on there because of the aforementioned good stuff, linus included. for different but not that dissimilar reasons i think contemporary russian citizens should not be blanket banned from helping everyone out.
so are we okay with banning development time donated to foss because of nationality?
are these people found to support heinous shit or is this just wartime shenanigans?
i do, (contemporary, us) sanctions are a way to punish entire countries for daring not to adopt neoliberalism.
i wonder how cuba would be doing right now if not for it.
and what do random developers have to do with a war between oligarchies? are we banning the dirty us imperialists next, because they do more damage than russia ever will?
or are we finding a negative thing about every nationality and ban international opensource collaboration entirely?
or, and hear me out on this one, the individual programmers making linux and 90% of the internet happen might not be fascists regardless of what shitty government reingns their lives?
this is pretty much my one problem with ubuntu, and it taints the entire experience tbh. its first time in years i dont look forward to updating because ill have to yank out snaps and figure out how to de-migrate my stuff back to flatpak.
eh games work fine in linux now and the ones that dont, will usually not work on vms either
can u selfhost it?
further translating it: they are closing it down but trying to make it look like they arent
selfhosting is more like that tbh. unless you mean cherrypicking and adapting drivers for your kernel and this sort of stuff… general desktop troubleshooting helps to a point imo
