Just tired of seeing perfectly solid comments being downvoted with no reason provided 🤷

The aggregate info is public, but valve can tie it to individual users.

myersguy@lemmy.simpl.websiteto Linux@lemmy.ml•Rant: Isn't windows supposed to "just work"?8·2 months agoI dislike Windows as much as the next guy, and recognize this is just a rant. However:
- Might be more HP’s fault than Windows
- Might be mire Zoom’s fault than Windows (though Windows audio is a gongshow)
- Just use OpenSSH from Command Prompt or Powershell. It should be preinstalled I think but if not can be installed through Programs and Features) in Windows 10 and above.

myersguy@lemmy.simpl.websiteto Linux@lemmy.ml•Difference between Manjaro and EndeavourOS55·3 months agoEndeavour is basically Arch with a more user friendly installer, a very small number of their own packages, and a coat of paint.
Manjaro is similar, except Manjaro runs their own repositories and delays packages for testing. This can lead to a whole bunch of issues when combined with the AUR. The team leading it has also been shown to be a little inept at times. I wouldn’t personally recommend it.
…What are you talking about?

The fact that you are launching it through Cartridge makes me a little worried that you are using the windows version. Try the AppImage or Flatpak packages and see if you have any improvement (assuming you aren’t already using those)

Even if there are better options, Gitea still falls under that definition, no?

I think this one is probably very popular. I had a very hard time giving Gnome a chance because of its inability to do this by default.

This, and specifically, you can also try disabling steam in game recording for whatever game is giving you trouble. I have found it to nuke performance in some games similar to what you are describing.
