figaro@lemdro.idto Technology@beehaw.org•Please ban data caps, Internet users tell FCCEnglish10·8 months agoHonestly I don’t mind reasonable data caps. Like I get it, they don’t want someone torrenting 100tb of data in a day. That bogs things down.
But with 4k streaming, downloading 100gb game updates on PS5, and YouTube basically constantly on in the background, I’ll hit the 1TB per month comcast limit in like 2 weeks. And that is just me, nevermind having any roommates at all.
1TB just isn’t enough for the modern Internet.

In communication, there are two parts - how it is delivered, and how it is received. In this interaction, you clearly stated your point: giving yourself the title of pro oftentimes means the person is not a pro.
What they received, however, is far different. They received: ugh this sweaty asshole is gatekeeping coding.
If your goal was to convince this person not to call themselves a pro going forward, this may have been a failed communication event.

Joking lol but serious that it will never happen. Windows has waaay too much of a monopoly for that to never happen.

For real, people should put disclaimers when recommending software like this. “I really like their vision, but installer beware! It is not ready for noobs! Also calling and texting just doesn’t work! Lol good luck!”

To me, your comment just says “deleted by creator.”
Oh got it 👍🏻
I think it’s called Nearby Share. If you click “share” on a particular file, the option to share to a nearby device appears using Nearby Share.
Android devices have this function natively built in
Journey is a spiritual journey for me. I try to play it once every couple of years to remind me of the impermanence of life and existence.
Fuck the robot snakes, I want a long scarf.
I’ve used the Boox color e-reader. It’s fine. My one complaint is that the white background of the screen is not as white as the background in traditional e-readers. Like I saw somewhere that the Kindle’s white background is somewhere near 85% white, and the Boox color screen is 65ish% white. It was noticable when I used it, to the point that I sent it back and got a non color e-reader.
I ended up getting the Boox Nova Air 2. it is fantastic. https://onyxboox.com/boox_novaair2
