Brexit happened because the conservatives couldn’t be arsed sorting out their own affairs so made it everyone else’s problem.

The reasons for Brexit are complex, but I’d say if the populace were educated and raised to know how to inform themselves when needed, they would’ve realized the importance of the vote, participated, and voted to stay in the EU. There are a cascading amount of issues and while politicians play a big role, the population plays an equally big (or even bigger) role.

Wow, next they’re going to get rid of first past the post to introduce ranked voting. That would be absolutely incredible. But in a country that voted for Brexit, my hopes are low.

That seems to imply immigrants move to countries to laze around and do nothing. You’re not allowed to stay in the country anyway if you don’t have a job or have some kind of visa that doesn’t require you to work. “Expats” are immigrants like the rest of them.

That makes sense. And the leaders of Mozilla probably know this, so they have no incentive to be better, just to exist and pocket the money. Firefox won’t get better unless another competitor appears and becomes a danger to it: danger meaning Google might give the competitor money instead of Mozilla.

Don’t donate money to Mozilla they don’t deserve it, much less need it after getting 500M from Google every year.

Phones were always banned in my classes. I don’t know why anybody expected smartphones to be allowed.

If even during an activity where concentration isn’t necessary they can distract, just ban them. The cinema is a good example they are bright, somebody always forgets to turn off the sound, and while you look up who that actor is or whatever, you miss part of the movie. In school, even if you decided to look something up related to what the teacher is saying, you’d lose track of what they were saying while looking it up.

A simple, inoffensive action that grabs attention but doesn’t involve shouting into people’s faces. Love it.
