Heh, the first step in a long series of steps towards orbital shipyards and coriolis-class space stations.
The future is looking bright.

It’s so cute, I love their cute little facial expressions :)
Red rescue team, if you haven’t played a pokemon mystery dungeon game before. I played the DS version (blue rescue team) and loved it.
Christ, now I know why my ancestors moved to the US, haha.
Imo, third party companies just shouldn’t have access to the kernel level. Someone is always getting hacked, and having this level of access to potentially hundreds of millions of computers is a huge risk. Especially if it’s for something trivial, like anticheat in Helldivers 2.
Wow, if I was a customer, I’d be dropping them immediately even if I didn’t pirate. That is sketchy as hell.
It is…inevitable. A shame, really. >:)
I want us to build a massive collider in New Mexico. There’s a bunch of land around Black Mesa that could probably house a massive underground collider. The US needs a big one!
*human porn.
Google can’t even block yiff with safe search, lol. AI has incredible difficulty with evaluating furry porn. Which means that Mitch McConnell is going to live out his final days looking at anthropomorphic hyenas that could benchpress a fridge and have 11 inches of freedom, lmao.
Generations of southerners and people in the central US are going to be looking at considerable amounts of yiff if conservatives have their way.
The only unsafe bathroom I’ve ever been in is one where the stalls had not been properly secured to the floor, and the whole thing looked like it was on the verge of collapse.
…All the unisex bathrooms either are physically walled off, or have floor to ceiling stalls with the privacy covers on all cracks. (US)
This is absolutely bizarre. At least in NA, there’s a decent number of family/unspecified restrooms, which are also gender neutral and usually have a changing station. Some have gendered bathrooms as well. But for stuff like apartments, usually they just do a few unspecified bathrooms as it is easier to do.
This seems awfully unnecessary and expensive just to spite, what, 1% of the UK population?
Even some domestic brands like Juiced go on sale for like, $1,200 for a Juiced Ripracer. Aventon appears to make good stuff too, if you want bike shop support. I’ve had my bike for a month and put 320 miles on it. Fun little bike :)
194 nautical miles isn’t terribly far, though. For port to port, sure. For oceanic shipping, I don’t think 194 is going to cut it. I think we will probably have to do SMRs or efuels to really cut cargo ship and cruise ship emissions when crossing the Pacific or Atlantic. Though I don’t know where nuclear powered shipping (in non-military applications) is in terms of progress.
Galaxy On Fire 2 was great, but Elite Dangerous on PC later kicked the absolute crap out of it.
Whales spend tens of thousands of dollars on p2w bullshit. It’s all unregulated gambling.
Interesting, I might look into that! Thanks.
I like my Kobo, but wish it had a bit better of a storefront. I want to get my books from more than just the kobo store. Overdrive support is nice. It sometimes loses my page just like a real book, ironically.
Still, I find myself still letting it collect dust due to it’s limited storefront and long book checkout times at the library. Physical books and newspapers are a bit bigger and stable software-wise.
I really wish epaper displays were more common. It’s a really cool technology. I’d love an inexpensive epaper monitor or maybe an alarm clock?
Some devices cannot use Bluetooth audio devices, or it’s buggy or laggy af. I don’t mind wireless buds for the gym, but they sound worse and die before a flight across the US is complete. Wired headsets so don’t have to be charged, or if they do have ANC, its usually a replacable battery instead of a rechargeable battery.
I dunno if it’s just my Fold 4, but when I ride the train or visit an apartment, I get bombarded by pairing requests from Bose headphones and other bluetooth devices like home speakers. It’s probably some setting that Samsung quietly flipped on in a recent patch, but it’s really annoying. Fuck off, 𝙳𝚊𝚟𝚎’𝚜 𝙱𝚘𝚜𝚎 𝚀𝚞𝚒𝚎𝚝𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚝 𝟺𝟻 𝙷𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚙𝚑𝚘𝚗𝚎𝚜, I don’t need pairing notifications every 10 seconds.
I agree!
