Just to clarify, which fascists?
Absolutely! These scum that use their religion to bully and police others suck balls!
Especially when parliament is in recess!
Well, no, the old and poor will still be eligible is my understanding. It’s just now David Attenborough can’t get it because he can probably afford to heat his home on his own.
You have to be under the state pension age to apply for pip, whereas winter fuel payments are for retired people…
Sad times. Stumble upon was great!
It’s almost like Sabre doesn’t actually know what he’s on about.
Also, it’s easier if your child already has good attendance. Miss every other Friday already, your holiday to manage is not being authorised, have 100% attendance, then your two days trip to visit Santa in Lapland is going to be approved
I really strongly disagree with this sentiment. I think this man will be a very successful progressive prime minister who really leads the country back towards the left and a compassionate state.
Interesting you are called ‘corrupt’ and also support milk snatcher Thatcher
I’ve not heard of that. Care to share a link?
The issue is that this is a non-existent problem. No one peeling this argument has managed to provide an example of an abusive man following his victim to a domestic abuse shelter and then claiming to be trans to access that space.
I also imagine that it wouldn’t be too hard to deal with if it did occur. Let’s imagine the same scenario among a lesbian couple. When the abusive partner tried to gain access, the abused partner would simply let staff know that was her abusive partner and they would tell the other person that they can’t stay there and redirect them to other services.
The insertion of trans people into this situation is facile and bigoted.
Will, I can’t say you don’t have your reasons. I don’t share them, but, honestly, this particular aspect of their policy isn’t my main concern at this election. I really really hope that you’re wrong and they prove to be more progressive than you fear.
Well, on the face of it, that seems really daft. Care to elaborate?
I was referencing (a) Shaheen who liked a tweet saying "Every time you say something even mildly critical of Israel, you’re immediately assailed by scores of hysterical people who explain to you why you’re completely wrong, how you’re biased against Israel.
“Moreover, you can’t easily ignore them because those are not just random people. They tend to be friends or people who move in the same circles as you.
Those people are mobilised by professional organisations." . Now whether or not I agree with her viewpoint it would so clearly be twisted by the right wing media to hurl claims of antisemitism at the labour party again. When we as a party have worked so hard to get away from that smear you have to be more careful than that.
And (b) Lloyd Russell-Moyle who has had a behavioural complaint made against him. Again, it does look to be timed in such a way as to punish Russell-Moyle whatever conclusion the NEC come to as his seat will have already gone to another MP, but equally, do we want a party that don’t investigate such things, or try to sweep them under the carpet? I hadn’t heard of Akehurst before your comment, and have to say I’m very disappointed that he’s been selected, given both of the rows I’ve referenced I don’t think he should have been. Thank you for bringing him to my attention.
I like the idea, but it would have to work perfectly otherwise politicians would get very very upset when it didn’t work correctly and it could never work perfectly enough live.
We just need interlocutors who are willing to break in and say, “What you have just said has been proven to not be true, please try to be truthful to the electorate.” every time they lie.
I mean, yeah, this is exactly why, and politically it makes a lot of sense but it is fucking depressing to see.
