After waiting years for this I ended up using FairEmail, which is absolutely amazing. I’d have a hard time switching to something else at this point.

The www has already gone to shit anyway thanks to SEO bullshit websites and AI generated garbage. Most of my online interactions are via applications these days. The more these companies ruin the www the less I find myself using a web browser.
Can I install it via F-Droid?
I already uninstalled it so can’t confirm but I didn’t see anything to that effect at the time. I could be wrong.
That said, I got Every Door and love it. It’s got an icon right on the main screen to download whatever area you’re looking at. The UI in general is more to my liking as a geek, whereas Street Complete sorta makes a game out of it (which is awesome if that’s what you’re after).
It also doesn’t seem to let you edit anything more then a mile away from your physical location. I get that they want accuracy but it’s preventing me from editing incorrect information to a place I have just been.

I fucking owe them??? They presented me with wrong info and wasted my time, fuel and stress. I don’t owe anyone shit! Make a good product and I will gladly pay for it. Send me off to a dead end, I owe nothing. What kind of stupid ass logic is that? Fuck out of here. That argument is fine if we’re talking about a video game or some shit. What if we were trying to find a hospital?
Yes you’re missing the point. If I’m on the freeway in the middle of the night and take an exit to some town I’ve never been to only to find out the location is closed the app has failed. I needed accurate information in that moment. Not years later when the community gets around to correcting the hours. I absolutely need to be able to depend on the data the app is presenting. If I can’t I’m not going on a crusade to fix all the errors, I’m using a different app.
Not while driving a 30 foot RV in the middle of the night, no.
I was so pissed the other day while pulling out of the driveway that my paid copy of Symfonium wouldn’t work at all. It needed permission from daddy google to start but didn’t have an internet connection at the moment. Fuck that shit I gave you my money!
OSMand is amazing for the most part but trying to locate a business is next to impossible. Then if you do, the store hours are either not there or incorrect. I’m trying real hard to make it my primary map app but too often I find myself having to open google maps in the end.
Edit: They also combined Caravan POI’s with Tourist destinations, which really really fucked things up for people wanting to just see those and not thousands of other locations they want nothing to do with. Why are churches also mixed in there too? Makes no damn sense.
There’s an Android fork of FreeTube that’s still working well.
I’m not sure if it’s open source but I’ve used SmBsync2 for years and it has every option imaginable.
I just went to nhentai .to and nhentai .net from TX and was immediately shown naked anime children, so no, I don’t think that site has figured anything out unless I got the domain wrong.
Owning a dozen or so websites doesn’t make them a monopoly when there are tens of thousands of porn sites available.
There are countless models over the age of 22 making bank in the porn industry. The only difference is that they have talent.
In addition, the porn business is hot right now! So many people just got cut off and are now paying for content.
The devs description states that it’s intentionally minimalistic visually and focuses on advanced features. FairEmail is way overkill for someone with a single gmail account for example. At the time that I found it, FairEmail was the only client that met all of my needs. Like managing multiple accounts, each with multiple folders and none of that unified nonsense. It’s also available on F-Droid and GitHub.
