Lol. I wasn’t going to be paying full price for a game anyway, but now I’m not paying for gearbox games ever again.
Senior Chief Petty Officer. Starfleet is in my blood, and I’ve spent my entire adult life in service to boldly going.
Keiko and Molly are my favorite humans, but Transporter Room 3 will always be my favorite.
Just don’t ask who what’s in the pattern buffer.

Uhhhhhh you should probably at least drain out the placenta fluid…
What change is this move driving? I can’t see around all the genocide.
$5 delivery
Ugh. They always try to get you with the shipping… Pass.
I mean, that should be the default for everyone, at all times regardless of whether they want to charge you for access. It’s a garbage company run by garbage people and has done more harm to humanity than could ever be measured.
Oh look, another person intentionally conflating ANTI-ISRAEL with ANTISEMITIC
They are not the same, and if you think they are then you might wanna check on your racist thoughts. Not all jews are Israeli, and not all Israelis are Jewish. The only ones who benefit from you thinking this is the Israeli government that uses this to shield themselves from criticism of their genocidal war crimes.
The last time I used skype, it was to monitor my 3d print because I needed to finish a project and my last attempt went all spaghetti.
So as I was at work I’d log into my computer from my phone, call myself with skype, and check to make sure everything was still okay.
Then I discovered octoprint.
They stated they didn’t break piracy laws because they downloaded a shitload of books for their LLM and didn’t seed any.
Torrents are downloaded by “leeches” and put out for download by “seeders”
A proper ratio of what you downloaded to what you allow others to download should be 1:1 if you’re not a dick. (1gb downloaded means you need to upload 1gb to other users for 1:1) but if you don’t seed at ALL or if you only seed bare minimum to keep downloading things, you’re called a Leech, and derogatorily. Because you didn’t seed.
So they’re stating “we didn’t break the law, we’re just leeches!”
The slime mold growing up the side of a seasonal creek down the road is more important than good relations with the USA…
Depends on what I’m playing.
I can comfortably play some games down to 12fps ±3ish, if it isn’t something that’s fast paced.
I have yet to play anything where I’m skilled enough for higher than 30fps to matter response-wise, and while I can notice the difference between 60fps and 240fps on my monitor, I gotta say it doesn’t do much for me.
Maybe I just don’t know what to look for, what I’m missing, or how to set up my laptop right, but who knows. My eyes could be stuck on 720p for all I know.
The problem is not the price.
The problem is Ai “art” is inherently stealing the work of other people, and not in a way that a painter can say they were influenced by some other painter.
You heard it here folks, you shouldn’t question something unless you are directly affected by it.
But the business analysts are the most profitable group, anywhere! If you don’t believe me just hire a business analyst to analyze things and they’ll prove it to you!
I haven’t logged into Facebook in over a decade, can’t even remember the login email. Can’t be arsed to jump through hoops to ask for it to be deleted.
Can’t imagine why anyone would willingly make a fb page today.
"They came first for the distros. But I didn’t speak up, because it was only Facebook and only Linux. "
Yeah, but if they do reasonable things, then they can’t use her as an example/warning to intimidate persuade others to not protest except in perfectly acceptable, out of sight ways.
A person can dream.
Make every company that has a whistleblower die in ANY way face extremely heavy penalties including, but not limited to: 75% taxing on all income for a period of time as part of a fine, jail time for executives, board members, and potentially large shareholders, potential nationalization of the company, etc
Make every company afraid to have a whistleblower die. Make them want to hire private security and pay for all health expenses to ensure the person lives because the alternative is the company ceases to exist in any way that benefits those in charge.
Sweet!
I’ve never been able to get into them, but I’m definitely buying this as a gift for someone.
As someone who likes to break into things (legally, with permission, blah blah blah) I can assure you that no amount of locks will keep a determined individual from something, especially if they know the schedule of the people they’re concerned about and if they have an effectively unlimited time with the thing they’re breaking into.
Locks will deter, not prevent, theft or unwanted handling. If there’s a way to access it, it is accessible to anyone with time and intent.
I like picking locks and even if I don’t have the skill for a certain lock, I’ve opened them by accident just by trying over and over. I just needed time.
A gun safe by itself is not enough.
A locked door is not enough.
I know someone who used to take the firing pins out of every firearm, which would then be in a locked box in a floor safe under his bed. Guns in a locked safe, with a locked closet and locked room door. That was when he had nieces and nephews that came over a few times a month. Once he had his kids, the guns went to storage at his dad’s house. His reasoning? He used to steal alcohol from his parents cabinet as a teen and they tried many many times to make it harder but he always managed to get to it. “I always found a way, so could my daughter”
My own firearms have cable locks through the chambers, they’re locked in a keyed safe, and the safe is in a locked closet. The only copy of the safe key that isn’t either on me or my wife is in a hollowed out 2x4 that looks like it’s part of the ceiling in my attic just in case I ever lose my key but need into it.
I don’t have kids so I’m not concerned with someone who has a lot of time on their hands, but never underestimate how determined someone can be when they’re told “you aren’t allowed in there”
All of this is basically to say “the only way you’re keeping someone permanently away from the guns in your house is to NOT HAVE GUNS IN YOUR HOUSE”
Unrelated,
Sorry the phrasing just gave me a giggle.
