See thats the problem. This thing is made from metal and magnet is so strong that it can hold it in place with no problem when pc case is fliped on its side down on the ground horisontaly! If i stick it on fridge it will stick out like a horn or dagger. So thats what makes me conserned. And on top of that, its close to the hard drive, olmost like its placed directly on it.
Good to hear that, because its not even a 1cm its more like 5mm
I have to check that out. This gadget is made from metal, not plastic, im not sure if its possible.
Ok english is not my main language…
Ok so here is the situacian. I have rx 6800xt merc that definitly needs some kind of support. But down there is place for two hdds. I have one in top slot. So magnet is directly above 😶 thats why im a bit voried.
Here is another picture, but with hdd in botom slot.
Yea but the problem is my hard disk is in its bracket made from metal and this support gadget is directly on that metal…
Thats a releaf 😅

PrincessCory@lemmy.wtfOPto Linux@lemmy.ml•Do you know about the Lbry, and what do you think of it..?1·1 month agoFor example hardware unboxed is posting its videos on lbry so i prefer to watch him there. But there are many other interesting people there, because they are avare of youtubes censorship. And there are many videos that cannot be posted on youtube, but we are free to watch them on lbry.
PrincessCory@lemmy.wtfOPto Linux@lemmy.ml•Do you know about the Lbry, and what do you think of it..?2·1 month agoWell you are hosting videos that are on lbry but its done automaticly, its not something that you have to do manyaly. You just enter the desktop aplikacion and watch videos. And rest is done on itsown. Videos that you watched you are now hosting for others to watch and thats it. You just set how much memory you want to allow app to use, so it doesnt fill up your drive and thats it.
And if you are content creator you host your videos just at first so couple of people can see them, and after that people are watching and hosting your videos vithout you doing anything.
PrincessCory@lemmy.wtfOPto Linux@lemmy.ml•Do you know about the Lbry, and what do you think of it..?1·1 month agoNot at all, Lbry is open source project and it doesnt belong to company that created it. So when company got syed and destroyed financially lbry project stayed untact. Becayse we are the ones that host videos on that platform so platform stayes censorship resistant. Thats why it cannot be shut down as long as we use it. And since its open source, we are free to develop it further. :)
PrincessCory@lemmy.wtfOPto Linux@lemmy.ml•Do you know about the Lbry, and what do you think of it..?2·1 month agoYou are right, my apologies. Thats a platform for watching videos just like youtube. But it works in a completly diferent way, similar to torrent. Because its goal is to bring content freedom. The problem with youtube is that they directly decide what people can record and what is forbiden. If you make content that youtube doesnt like, first he will hide it so wery small amount of people can see it, second they will demonetise you, and third they will delete your video and your whole channel at the end. Just because you wanted to spread the truth. Thats why lbry is created, they call it content freedom. :)
