Lol yes, that was going to be the one downside I was going to mention. I wasn’t sure if it was just unique to my situation, but I found it would lead me down a logical path. It would ask me if I had tried various solutions.

Eventually, I would hit a point where it wouldn’t know where to go any further, and it would land on “here’s some things you can do” but those options would be things I was actively trying and failing with.

So that was fun. In a way, it was great at confirming that I had thought of all the logical options.

I’ve used one called PI which I’m assuming is some kind of branch off of chat gpt or something.

You don’t have to sign up or anything (for now) which is cool. But I assume they harvest all our data and information.

I tested to see if I could break it once, and from my brief tests, it seemed to never break out of character or tell me something bad or negative, which I thought was interesting(and good!)

I think I see what you’re getting at? My assumption is that you would need shit to get really bad for everyday people before you would see actual acts of physical resistance. At that point, you’re looking at full riots or civil war.

Right now, all that we can probably expect is some light protesting on the streets and maybe some minor civil disobedience.

That all makes sense. I think I’m probably getting ahead of myself a bit. In my mind, it seems like democracy has already lost, and the only way forward is through a full reform.

But you’re absolutely right. It would likely require too much time and energy to attempt something like this now. Maybe once the threat has been removed, would they even consider such a thing.

I could also be speaking from a place of ignorance as I’m not familiar with the inner workings of the political structures that are currently in place.

As an outsider, I personally would like to see them branch away from the democrats and start a new party. The whole system needs to be fixed from the ground up. But perhaps it’s too soon for that. Maybe things need to get worse first. Maybe government reform is too “extreme” at the moment.

My reasoning is that if the system survives this, it will likely return to the same BS that plagued it before. When this situation is fixed, I would hope there are actual solutions rather than band-aid fixes.

However any action is better than nothing at the moment.

I’m not sure if we can prevent it entirely. I suppose all it would take is one bad actor to get a bot set up, and it would be off to the races.

I would hope that we would be able to figure out ways of identifying real people online. Surely, there’s gotta be some way we can alleviate the issue?

My hope right now is that this leads to some kind of democratic reform. It was long overdue. The system needs to be reworked from the ground up to protect the people and society as a whole. In the best case scenario, this could change the world drastically for the better. Similar to the labor movement.

The circumstances that would breed such drastic change would probably be terrible though. But it’s the one thing that I keep hoping for

My hope is that people will just start using social media that specifically tries to avoid AI generated content. Where they know they are directly interacting with real people. I think what’s frustrating for me is that we’re seeing this technology being used for bad reasons. I think AI has specific use cases where it could be extremely useful? But I think there’s far more ways it’s being used for garbage right now.

I’ve noticed when I’m watching YouTube videos specifically. I’ve started to gravitate slightly towards videos that have lower production values. Or that seem a lot more casual and genuine.

It’s supposed to be, but I think the console releases might have been delayed?

The only Gane where I thought AI was interesting was the one where you are a vampire, and you had to convince people to let you come into their houses so you could eat them.

Additionally, I could see how it would work for a “Hey you, Pikachu!” Or “seaman” game. But otherwise, I’m fairly reluctant on any kind of AI stuff. It just seems…gross. idk how to describe it but it just makes me uncomfortable

The best part of artwork is when you can see an artists personality through their art. Because Ai art is just stolen from other people who have poured their energy into their craft, it completely ruins the point.

It feels cheap. But because of this garbage, it’s also made me appreciate real art so much more.
