i just use vim plugins in the other editors i use.

    kate has a vim mode,
vs code has a vim plugin.
    intellij has a vim plugin.
    obsidian has a vim mode.
a lot of editors have vim modes.

if you have a current non vim markdown editor,
try looking for a vim mode.

if you dont, obsidian is all about markdown,
and vs code has a markdown preview plugin.

  • i work in IT, so linux at work was an immediate hit for me.
It sounds weird, but doing it stuff on linux just feels kinda natural.

because of work i tried to use it at home (asside from tinkering) but it didn’t work out nearly as well for a long time.
the lack of game support meant i was mostly on windows.

but thanks to minecraft and valves linux version of dota and csgo, it evened out.
and now thanks to proton im almost 99% on linux.

i like linux for its customizability,
    its centralized & unintrusive updates,
its advanced features (mdadm, btrfs, powerfull scripting), and because of the controll i have over my system.

i dislike windows because of the design since win8,
the lack of controll( bloatware just appears on my start menu, onedrive, cortana, recall),
intrusive updates (installing updates on shutdown and reboot and “all your files are encrypted exactly where you left them”),
constantly pestering me about getting the latest release,
    reseting my configurations on updates,
and the ever changing labyrinth of menus when i need to fix / change something

  • afiak the prase “i use arch btw” is mostly sarcasm,
    instead of genuine appreciation.

its mocking the stereotype of arch users that constantly bring it up to sound smart or feel supperior.

think of arch like “vintage car culture” with a touch of minimalism.
its restricting and breaks all the time,
but thats kinda the point because fixing it becomes a part of your lifestyle.

  • im also pretty new to fighting games.
but from what i heared, playing arcade mode is verry diffrent from playing against other players.

especially in older games hi level cpus tend to fight dirty,
using input reading and op boss characters.

input reading cpus basicly have inhuman reflexes,
and will counter big comittal attacks like jumpins or tatsu as long as they are free to move.

so throw out non-commital pokes, untill they do something you can counter.

if its the bosses you are struggeling against,
only perseverance will help. (unless you find a move the ai cant deal with)
they are designed to take your quarters.
