I expect our ability to extract oil to exceed our ability to deal with the consequences of extracting oil.

Where did you pick up that little piece of propaganda?
Well, when I was a kid, I was very surprised when he showed back up again.
Unpopular opinion, Voldemort is a boring villain with puddle deep motives. He should never have survived the first book.
What always gets me about those people is if it’s real art, the artist is putting their message into the story. When I was young and in the target demographic, I stopped reading halfway through because the message of the story was getting confusing or annoying. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a main character get more selfish in their character arc. I later found out that Harry’s solution to owning a house with severed heads everywhere was to put doilies over them during the holidays.
The books are bad and where probably only tolerable in the beginning because of the editor.
Considering the technical mess that was Serious Sam 4 and the fast turnaround of Talos 2, retiring Serious Engine was probably the right call. Wish they went to Godot, but at least they didn’t go with Unity.
Ford: “Please only use certified Firestone Tires with your Explore. We’d hate for your SVU to unpredictably roll over. Better for it to predictably roll over.”
So long as it’s not about Tiananmem Square.
Yeah and I don’t believe the ad read. Either it’s actively hacking the device or it’s just a directional emp(or it’s just junk). The fact that it’s calling an electric motor an “engine” is a clue that the people writing the press release don’t know how any of this works. At best, this is what they’re really selling.
If it wants to trick the motor controller into reading the motor as overheating, it would need to know the communication protocol of every escooter and be able to overwhelm the communication between the motor and motor controller with it’s own signal. That’s assuming it’s wireless and why would it be wireless? Also, these things can go up in smoke on their own. I doubt as many of them as we’d like actually have overheat protections.
If the escooters had lowjack software on them and knew to shutoff remotely, you wouldn’t need a backpack’s worth of tech and it would be easy to bypass by cutting the antenna.
Also,
electromagnetic rays
This doesn’t mean anything. Could be a ham radio, could be an rc car controller, could be a flash light, but it sounds like a microwave gun if you need a backpack to power it and the escooter isn’t going to be recoverable. Neither will any cell phone, car, laptop or any other consumer electronic or medical device near the target.
I don’t believe that at all. It’s gotta be just a directional microwave gun. It’s gonna fry the semiconductors to shut it off, but it will kill any nearby electronics as well. That includes medical devices. You can find people on YouTube making these things for fun.
The art and legal documents are the ones the media(who runs oil ads) decide to put on blast. They don’t report when they dump paint on CEO’s cars. I wonder why?
Also, protests are suppose to be annoying. Ignorable protests don’t do anything.
And frankly, there are people dying of heat stroke, crops failing because of unpredictable weather, whole communities getting displaced as sea levels rise or the air dries up. Being mad on behalf for the pieces of paper seems pretty petty.
They hardly claim to have exclusive access to the truth. Just look at the published research by climate scientists for the past 50 years or more.
No one is denying climate change is an issue the needs addressed.
Plenty of people are. My neighbors for instance.
I’m not the one in a death cult.
What’s your favorite boot to lick?
Well, this should be incredibly useful for Dosbox and improving playability of retro games, right?
I don’t think you have the insider information to really make that call.
They likely have a larger portion of Linux users then other companies though.
Feels like the dotcom era all over again, but they’re better at stringing the scam along this time. Enough of the people need to believe the lie that it’s getting artificial longevity.
