4·1 year agoBritain is where the Canuckians got that from. Our colonies ranged very far and very wide, and for that we’re very sorry.
Mint on my ancient MacBook because I didn’t really know any better and it’s working just nice for me, and Asahi/Fedora on my M1 mini, because it’s the only option.
Have you thought about using Arch?
I use Arch, btw.
And longevity. I have a 2011 MBP thats now running Debian and is still a tank. I’ve had two MacBooks since I got it but the damn thing refuses to die.
My daily laptop is an M2 Air which is ridiculously powerful for my needs, so when Apple drop OS support for it I’ll put Asahi on it and keep it trucking until the wheels fall off.
And that 2011 will still be going.

22·1 year agoWas quite pleased to see the fash outnumbered at least ten to one in Southampton last night.
We’ve got quite a large Eastern European immigrant population, so it’s nice that the city turned out so well.

4·1 year agoI loved To The Moon, which fits your requirements, I think. The sequels are fine, but the stories are pretty well standalone, so you could play just the first one and leave it at that. And it’s only £1.70.

2·1 year agoWe use Google Forms and Sheets at work, precisely because easy for a bunch of us to access, and our boss is tight as fuck, so it being free is a massive draw.
I keep looking to other ways to perform the few functions we use, but ultimately I lack the knowledge and resources to roll my own.

23·1 year agoAnyone who doesn’t think that the end goal for the Cybertruck isn’t military/police contracts hasn’t really been paying attention to how tech firms grow.
I’m mostly surprised that no US police departments have any of them yet.

I’d love BTT on Linux too. The hardest thing for me with a move from macOS to Linux is losing the ability to zip about the OS with a trackpad. Also, I’ve had BTT set for years so that clicking the middle button on a mouse shows Mission Control. God, I wish I could work out how to do that in Mint.
