They make you have an internet connection for the pc port of the original ff7…
I was all set to re purchase the original ff7 on steam to play it again on my steam deck. Then I seen that the assholes require an internet connection to run it. My playstation sure as hell didn’t have an internet connection. Yo ho ho ho
We live in an oligarchy. As long as plastic is cheaper and gets sales, it will keep being used unless a law bans it. I lived in a time when soda was canned or in glass bottles. The stuff tasted better bottled in glass. Plastic was lighter and cheaper, so it got switched.
Some stuff can’t really be made very well without plastic. It can vastly be cut down, for certain. But it isn’t yet realistic to eliminate yet. We need replacement materials and ways to eliminate what is already here.
As windows sucks more, Linux gets easier, and gaming gets way easier, this trend won’t stop any time soon, but I am curious about how big a chunk of that percentage is steam OS/steam decks.
I just meant more like the resolution.
Supposedly, the SD didn’t get an oled screen because it was a bit less power efficient. Oled saves power when there’s blacks on the screen, and most games don’t have much black.
To me, that is sure evidence that it will be the normal screen in the next deck. I’m guessing a summer 2025 release. Resolution Will make it just perfect enough to make tiny text readable, which is the only thing the current stock screens need. Reading texts in games like witcher 3 are a bit of a pain. Have to set up magnification stuff on the right touch pad.
Just did that last night. My inventory was full and I got back up a level before I was like “wait a second…damn it”
Ikr? It was only my 2nd flipping time winning and it was well past when I should have already been asleep. So mad.
Will do. I started a rogue run just a bit ago and I hope I don’t screw it up, cause I got a crazy good level 3 blasting wand drop on floor 1 or 2. Huge benefit to rogue it seems. I’ve never even had a level 3 wand drop on me in my last 48 games.
I gotta go all the way! Lol. So far I’m 2/48 now. Beat with the mage first, then warrior just today. Next up will be Rogue. After I win with every hero it’s going to be time to retire and play other games again. I think the last three hero wins will go a lot faster than the first two. I have a great grasp of the game, now.
I just screwed myself so hard. Was OP buff as hell warrior class. Killed the final boss with ease, went back up to level 1, and …couldn’t leave. I’d forgotten to go grab the dumb amulet and didn’t even notice I wasn’t healing on the boss stages on the way back up.
Went all the way back down, grabbed the amulet, started going back up again but at that point I was running low on food. Then due to a quick series of absolute bs and bad luck I got killed. Ruined a fantastic run that I thought was in the bag.
I really love the thing. It’s been my almost exclusive gaming device for the last couple years, except for the past few weeks where I’ve been binge gaming shattered pixel dungeon on my phone.
It’s my main gaming device. I love the thing, and if you take the time to really understand and use the massive amount of control and gyro options it’s crazy how good the controls can be for so many different games. Way better than any console, and often nicer than keyboard/mouse. The borderlands games with gyro aiming is the best way to play, hands down. I’ve also heard high praise on some rts strategy builder games with gyro mouse functions. A genre I didn’t think would work well at all without a keyboard and mouse.
Shit yeah it is. I’m nearing the end of my latest playthrough. I probably only have another 40 hours to go!
I’ve heard you don’t want the flat pack Steam, so…
Yeah. I have t mobile, so the xperia 1 V, and the newly released but not officially sold in the US xperia 1 VI would work, but rare phones tend to lack support, amd I can’t bring myself to shell out $1400 for a phone like that.
I wish I could still get a higher end phone with an SD card slot. I’m holding onto my s20 ultra (I like the pen) until I’m forced out for security update reasons.
My time and ability to game has led me to almost exclusively play on my steam deck, and I now game a lot more than I’ve gotten to in a decade.
For the past couple of years (I upgraded to the OLED) I’ve pretty much only purchased/played games that will play well on the SD.
I like many games that are really only suited to a bigger screen or mouse/keyboard, but not enough to get any of them, because I know I won’t be able to play them consistently enough to even remember what was going on since I’d played last.
Look at how they’re willing to act in order to attract millions of 12 year old viewers. You can’t fake act being that stupid and emotional for that many hours pretty much every day unless you’re fucked up in the head.
