That makes sense, thanks for the explanation
Libre is good but I have no idea why WPS Office isn’t discussed more. It’s essentially a functioning MS Office clone.

I mainly use them on steam deck with the bazzite distro, perhaps you might consider that over Linux mint? Don’t get me wrong, mint is amazing for switching from windows but bazzite is full on gaming focused.
Mint pleb on desktop because it’s stable and just works, bazzite on steam deck for installing my own games.

Awesome, thanks so much. I actually just purchased the same monitor so this will be very helpful when I set it up.
How good is the “HDR Support”? It’s one thing I’ve really wanted for Linux for a while.
Exactly, I switched to Linux mint a year ago and I’ve used the terminal like… twice lol.
Man you really could have just said “no”
Started with Mint and stuck with that for a year. No issues, just felt comfortable enough to try something “fancier”, I guess Mint was a little too reliable lol. Went with PopOS a while for the native dock and tiling manager, loved it. Now I’m on a brand new PC build and enjoying gaming with Bazzite. No tinkering involved, it setup my 5070 Ti automatically.
